Online Safety
How safe is your child online?
Online Safety Lead – Mrs Doherty
In a world where technology plays a leading role Online Safety is a key priority for the wellbeing and safety of our pupils. We have security measures in place in school, which are monitored both internally and externally, to help safeguard pupils from potential dangers or unsuitable material. Any Online Safety incidents are recorded. Online Safety is an important part of our curriculum and is taught to all children through both the computing and PSHE curriculum. Through this, we help children learn how to keep themselves safe online and how to behave online as well as understanding how the internet works such as how advertisers target people and ‘big data’.
All children at Kedington Primary are asked to read and follow these Acceptable Use Agreements to help keep everyone safe and happy when they are online or using technology. There is one for each key stage.
We also respond to issues that arise both in and out of school, sending advice and information to parents and addressing issues in school as needed. Every newsletter contains online safety advice. Should there be a specific area of Online Safety that you would like more information on please contact us.
