Welcome to the Leopards’ class!

Our teacher is Miss Jolland. We are also very fortunate to have Mrs Newstead for 3 days a week to help support our learning. With the Leopard’s fantastic attitude towards their learning, along with the perseverance and determination that they have already displayed so early on, it is clear that we are going to have a really successful time in Year 4!

For the first part of the Autumn term, our maths and English learning will look slightly different to usual. We are ensuring that we spend this time, clearly identifying what it is the children are able to do after returning from lockdown, in order to plan and deliver the teaching and support specific to the children’s needs.

In art, we have been exploring different ways to print. The Leopard’s demonstrated such resilience when learning to create geometric prints using a compass. The end results were incredible!

We have also been learning about, and classifying living things in science. It’s amazing to see how engaged and interested the children have been in this topic, where some of the children have even carried their learning on at home. During this term, we will also be learning about Vikings and Anglo – Saxons in history and rivers in geography.

The Leopards’ are also very lucky to have Miss Page (with her language expertise) teaching their French lessons on Friday’s. Our 2 weekly PE sessions are taught by Miss Hardy (Dellar Sports Coaching) on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s.

Head over to our class dojo page for ‘in the moment’ action shots of our learning.
