A very warm welcome to the Leopards’ class page

Leopards Class is taught by Mrs Masson on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Mrs Harding on a Thursday and Friday. Supporting us are Mrs Bowers and Mrs Bush. We are a class of 30 wonderful and enthusiastic pupils, who are always keen to take on the challenges of new learning.

Each morning, we start the day with Timestable Rockstars which we all love! We have English, Guided Reading and Maths Mastery before lunch with assemblies on a Monday, Wednesday and a Family Assembly on a Friday.

In the afternoons, we explore other areas of the curriculum such as Science, History, Geography, Art, DT within our topic. During the autumn term, our topic was ‘The Ancient Egyptians’. We all enjoyed, and learnt a great deal about the Ancient Egyptians, from our visit to The Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge.

Our topic for spring term 2019 is ‘Footprints of the Past’ where we will be learning about the history of dinosaurs and how the world has changed since their existence. We will be learning a lot about the geography of the world and science and art skills along the way. It would be hugely beneficial, if you have any free time, to help your children with some research around the time the dinosaurs roamed the Earth and let us know if you visit any museums during out topic. We love to have photographs of the children learning a home and to hear about their experiences.

The children also have Computing, Music and French lessons too during the afternoon.

We encourage children to read daily and to practise their times tables on Timestable Rockstars where they can build their own avatar. If any parents are able to come into school to hear readers, please do let us know.

Thank you for visiting our class page.
