Kedington Primary Academy

About Us

We take great pride in our school and our aim is to provide a safe and happy environment in which our children can thrive and learn.

Kedington Primary is a one-form entry primary school, which means that we have one class for each year group. As a result, we know our children and families very well and are proud of the positive relationships that permeate throughout the school.

Our children thrive on our high expectations, both academically and socially. We have a strong focus on calm, orderly behaviour with well-established routines and expect and encourage excellent manners from our wonderful children.

We have a beautiful site with a large playground, a field and our own Forest School area. Our seven classrooms centre around the school hall, the heart of the school. We have our own on-site kitchen and a beautiful, recently refurbished library. As well as spacious, light and airy classrooms, we have several other work-spaces and two nurture rooms.

Working alongside our families, we strive to provide our children with the tools they will need to achieve academic success, a life-long love of learning and becoming responsible, respectful and tolerant citizens of the future. We do this through our ‘head’, ‘heart’, ‘hands’ curriculum which is designed to provide children with a rich knowledge base as well as developing their skills and positive attitudes.

Our Values

We have six values that we want our children to have embedded by the time they move on to the next step in their journey. We focus on one each half term:

  • Resilience
  • Responsibility
  • Appreciation
  • Community
  • Respect
  • Kindness

We also believe in the importance of nurture and wellbeing at Kedington and provide a carefully planned range of support and education for all children as well as extra support for those who need it, as outlined on our Graduated Response document.

Our inclusive approach to education is at the heart of all that we do and we know how important it is to ensure that every child is valued.

We offer a wide range of after school clubs and are proud of our sports teams who regularly complete in swimming tournaments, football and other team competitions and athletics events.
