Location: Kedington Primary Academy Date: Wednesday 21st March 2018
Unfortunately due to all the snow we were unable to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday 1st March and instead we will be holding our own Kedington Book Day on Wednesday 21st March.
The author has been re-arranged for the day and the children will still be able to buy a copy of his book if they returned the slip with the correct money.
The children will start and finish the day together in whole school sessions and each class will have a workshop during the day.
The World Book Day lunch menu will be available, it included Harry Potter Chicken, Winnie the Witch’s Swirly Whirly Tomato Pizza and Scrumdiddlyumptious Chocolate Cake.
As we are no longer having a golf day as well, the children may dress up if they wish. The theme is that they come dressed as a character from one of their favourite books and the possibilities are endless: Postman Pat, Oliver Twist, Fantastic Mr Fox, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, Danny the Champion of the World, Matilda, Goldilocks, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Twits, Cinderella, Gruffalo, Elmer the Elephant, Three little Pigs, Harry Potter etc… If your child/children would prefer not to dress up they should come to school in their uniform.
Children are never too young to start their journey with books, and the benefits of reading are enormous so we hope, like us, you will use Kedington Book Day to celebrate it with your child.
